Conceptually, the cardiovascular system (CVS) is fairly straightforward: a (double) pump connected to some tubes for the purpose of moving fluids around the body. As one delves deeper into the structures of the CVS, however, they'll discover a fascinating array of complexity as this system interacts with every other organ system in the body to maintain homeostasis.
