Note the rough, bumpy bone surface of this "lazy-S" shaped bone. Examine the blunted appearence of one end (A) compared to the relatively flatter end (D).
The rough and bumpy surface tells you that this is the inferior view of this bone. Noting that marking-A faces medially, then the shallow arc from marking-A that extends laterally to marking-D for about two-thirds the length of the bone should curve anteriorly when this bone is viewed from the superior aspect.
Thus, if you imagine flipping this bone over to view it from the superior aspect while keeping markings A and D in their respective positions, the arc mentioned above would curve anteriorly and, remembering that feature-A faces medially, you should be able to determine the side of thie body this bone is from.
